Lexington County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the responsible public office directly for those actions.
Custody and Record Routes
For county-jail questions, begin with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and distinguish same-day status from the delayed web roster. The agency decides what it can confirm or release.

The Sheriff states that daily inmate rosters may be reviewed at its front desk. Its online Police to Citizen search carries a one-day delay, so an online absence does not settle a same-day custody question.
- For a county booking photo or booking record, use the official-search and FOIA route described on the home page.
- For a court case or final disposition, use the Lexington Public Index or contact the Clerk of Court, 205 East Main Street, Suite 128, Lexington, SC 29072, (803) 785-8212.
- For a sentenced state-prison record, use the SCDC Inmate Search, which is separate from LCDC custody.
- For a federal prisoner, use the BOP Inmate Locator; for qualifying immigration custody, use ICE ODLS.
- For a status alert rather than a photograph, use South Carolina VINE.
